Indonesian gaharu — chips & oud oil, graded and legally passported for Gulf, China & diaspora buyers. We resolve any parcel down the bench: physical attributes → grade name → honest price band → CITES/BKSDA document lane.
Enquiries handled by the Juara Holding Group trade desk. We are a sourcing broker & info hub — not a permit authority. Legal export requires a CITES permit and a BKSDA recommendation.
The Bench · Penentu Grade
Grade Resolver
Set the three levers. The bench resolves the local grade, the Gulf export name, an honest USD band, the source code, and the exact CITES/BKSDA passport lane — no single price, no permit promises.
Indicative — final quote confirms grade & scope. We are an info hub, not a permit authority.

The honest ledger
An illustrative segmentation of our published USD 500–7,000/kg chip band and USD 30,000–80,000/kg oil band — stamped as of 2026. Grading criteria: resin content, sinking/density, aroma intensity.
| Local grade | Export name | Sink behaviour | Resin content | USD band · as of 2026 |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Gubal | Super / Arab Super | Sinks fully | High | USD 3,000–7,000/kg |
| Kemedangan (upper) | CIP Arab | Partial sink | Medium | USD 1,200–3,000/kg |
| Kemedangan / Teri | Teri | Floats | Low | USD 500–1,200/kg |
| Oud / Dehn al-Oud oil | Dehn al-Oud | — | Distilled | USD 30,000–80,000/kg |
Grade-dependent. Never a single number. Final quote confirms grade & scope.
The competitor gap, turned strength
Gubal vs Kemedangan
Gubal is the dark, resin-saturated heartwood — the streaks form where the Aquilaria tree walls off infection over years. Its density is why it sinks, and why it commands the top band and the Gulf "Super" names.
Kemedangan carries less resin: lighter wood, softer aroma, a partial sink or a float. Still genuine gaharu, honestly banded lower. Naming the difference plainly is the whole point — most listings blur it.
- Resin heavy, black veins → light, pale wood
- Water sinks fully → partial sink / floats
- Aroma deep, long → lighter, shorter

The legal-origin passport
Aquilaria is listed on CITES Appendix II. Legal export needs three documents, in order. Each is issued by the authority — not by us.
-
01
Legal-origin proof
Documentation that the wood came from a lawful, traceable source — plantation-first in our sourcing.
Issued by the authority, not by us. -
02
BKSDA recommendation
The local conservation agency (BKSDA) assesses and recommends the consignment for export.
Issued by the authority, not by us. -
03
CITES export permit
Appendix II export permit from the CITES Management Authority of Indonesia. Typically valid up to ~6 months.
Issued by the authority, not by us.
Legal export requires a CITES permit and a BKSDA recommendation; confirm current requirements with the CITES Management Authority (Indonesia) and your import country. We never sell permit certainty or a customs guarantee.

Honest answers
How much is gaharu per kilo? / Berapa harga gaharu per kg?
It is strictly grade-dependent. Chips run USD 500–7,000/kg and oud oil USD 30,000–80,000/kg (indicative, as of 2026). There is no single price — a final quote confirms grade & scope.
What is the difference between gubal and kemedangan?
Gubal is high-resin heartwood that sinks and holds the top band; kemedangan is lower-resin, lighter, and bands lower. Resin content, density and aroma decide the grade.
Do I need a permit to export gaharu from Indonesia?
Yes. Aquilaria is CITES Appendix II. Legal export requires a CITES export permit + a BKSDA recommendation + legal-origin proof. Confirm current requirements with the CITES Management Authority (Indonesia) and your import country. We are an info hub, not a permit authority.
Apakah Anda menjamin izin atau bea cukai? / Do you guarantee permits or customs?
No. Permits are issued by the authorities and are never sold or guaranteed by us. We help you source plantation-first material and map the honest document lane.
What source code do you default to?
P (plantation) — easier to permit, sustainable, traceable. Wild (W) is only handled under official quota. We never promote illegal wild-harvest.
